Happy New School Year everyone!
Or does that sentence strike terror in you because you haven’t gotten your curriculum yet?
Sometimes this happens because you are on a strict budget and don’t want to commit to an expensive complete curriculum without doing more research, or maybe it’s because you are brand new and you don’t even know where to start. Or you might simply just be waiting ever so patiently for your curriculum to arrive in the mail, but you want to start your school year on time.
Whatever the reason, free online homeschool resources can really come in handy. We are so lucky to be homeschooling during a time of information being easily compiled and shared via the internet. We have a friend who was homeschooled in the 90’s, and her mom had to do a bunch of prep work for weekly lessons using books from the library and a trusty photocopier. It’s a much different time now.
We wanted to create a list of some free online resources (along with some notes on each one) that might be able to help you get started. Since they’re free, it’s non-committal and you can really get a sense of what you like in a curriculum, so that you know what to look for later.
