I love it when the seasons change. As much as I enjoyed the summer, I am ready for a change in weather. In this theme we will learn about fall/autumn. There is so much to learn about during fall that I have broken it up into several different themes throughout the month. So, if you favorite fall themed activity is not featured this week (like leaf rubbings) it is probably because I am saving that activity for another week (like the tree theme for next week). Have fun and enjoy the weather change!Read More →

Fall is approaching and that means it is almost time for apple pie, apple cider, and all things apple related! We will be exploring apples, discussing the different types of apples and talking about the parts of an apple. This will probably be a good week to make sure you have plenty of real apples on hand because many of the activities will be using them. Have fun!Read More →

It’s time for another life cycle theme! We did our butterfly theme earlier this year and now it’s time for frogs. I love these themes because it is so fun to let the kids see the metamorphosis of animals. These activities will focus on the changes a tadpole goes through to become a frog. If you would like, you can purchase your own tadpoles to let your kiddos enjoy the metamorphasis with their own eyes. I have used the set below before and had excelent customer service. The metamorphosis should take 6-8 weeks. You do not need to purchase the live tadpoles to enjoy thisRead More →

E-I-E-I-O we are going to the farm this week! So many fun activities this week all about animals and things on a farm. If you can, take the kids on a field trip to a farm and let them enjoy all the new sights and sounds (unless you already live near a farm, then the sights and sounds won’t be new. Haha!)Read More →
