Homeschool Myths

Welcome to our Homeschool Myths Series. There are lots of misconceptions out there about homeschooling and we would like to take a few moments to debunk a few. We will be releasing more myth videos over the next few weeks, so be sure to check back!

Myth #1: Socialization

In this video we want to talk about the myth that homeschooled kids don’t have opportunities to socialize. This couldn’t be further from the truth and we will tell you why.

Myth #2: Qualification

In this video we want to talk about the myth that you aren’t qualified to teach your children. We want you to know that you don’t need any credentials or fancy degrees to be able to homeschool your children.

Myth #3: Religion

In this video we want to talk about the myth that all homeschoolers are religious. Homeschooling is not just for families of faith, but all families can enjoy the benefits of homeschooling.

Myth #4: Cost

In this video we want to talk about the myth that homeschooling is expensive. You can easily spend thousands of dollars on homeschool books and materials, but you don’t have to. We want to give you some tips of creating a budget to only buy what you need and be able to purchase

Myth #5: College

In this video we want to talk about the myth that homeschoolers will not be prepared for college or the “real world” after high school. Being homeschooled can have some advantages for college prep that you may not have considered.

Myth #6: Time

In this video we want to talk about the myth that homeschooling needs to take the same amount of time that children are in school at the traditional public school. There are lots of reasons traditional public schools take as much time as they do, but when you homeschool it will not take you 6 hours.
